Oliver Ancans

Oliver is a writer, photographer, Active Duty military member, but above all, a fisherman. He lives in Eagle River Alaska with his wife and their two dogs, but originally hails from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Oliver is an extremely dedicated fly and ice angler, spending his free time either on the water or preparing for upcoming trips. He enjoys targeting a multitude of species but his favorite is Alaska’s steelhead, which are found through the Tongass National Rainforest and southern coastal rivers. Oliver intends to eventually retire from the Air Force where he will have spent 18 of his 20 years in Alaska.
