S’more Apple Nachos

A long day of fishing, hiking, and camping comes full circle with a dessert by the fire. The most important part of campfire desserts is the functionality and, of course, the taste.

S’more Apple Nachos

Bring everything you love about pie and s’mores together in this easy recipe.

  • Sprinkle the apple slices with lemon juice and cinnamon.
  • Cover apples with marshmallows and chocolate chips.
  • Place over the fire for 5-10 minutes or until the marshmallows and chocolate are melted.

S’mores Dip

S’mores Dip

This simple take on the classic campfire dessert is guaranteed to satiate your sweet tooth and is arguably a little less messy.

Ingredients

  • Mini marshmallows (large will work too, but you’ll want to cut them in half)

  • Chocolate chips

  • Graham Crackers

Directions

  • Lay your chips down in an even but thick layer in a cast iron pan or oven-safe dish.
  • Next, layer your marshmallows.
  • Toast for about five minutes, depending on your fire, making sure the chocolate doesn’t get scorched.
  • Use the graham crackers to dip with and enjoy.

Chocolate-strawberry Cones

Chocolate-Strawberry Cones

This one is much easier than your classic chocolate-covered strawberries.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries, roughly chopped

  • Chocolate chips of choice

  • Waffle cones

Directions

  • Mix up your chopped strawberries with your chocolate chips. You can make the ratio to your preference whether you like more chocolate or more berries.
  • Put the mixture in a waffle cone and wrap it up in tinfoil.
  • Place near a few coals for 5 minutes or until chocolate has melted.
